Senior wins at Wabasso; Junior team drops pair
Talan Holm pitched all five innings as the Jackson Senior Legion baseball team was a 6-4 winner at Wabasso on Thursday. Holm allowed three earned runs.
Post 130 got on the board in the top of the first when Braxsten Hall and Levi Thompson got hits.
Wabasso scored two in the home half of the first and then there was no more scoring until Wabasso plated two more in the top of the fourth for a 4-1 lead.
Jackson then scored five times in the fifth to take the lead. Wabasso got runners on second and third in the bottom of the frame, but a play by Kash Gilbert ended the game.
Wabasso won Thursday’s Junior Legion game 5-0. Dalton Wilking pitched three innings and had a hit at the plate for Post 130. Jack Hargan pitched a scoreless fourth inning.
The Junior Legion was also in action on Saturday, losing 12-2 at home to Windom.

Monday, June 16: Junior Legion at Fairmont, 7 p.m.
Thursday, June 19: Junior Legion vs. Springfield, 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, June 21: Junior Legion vs. Fairmont, 11 a.m.
