We’ll open this Lots O’ Stuff with an item that I should have included in the football notes that I sent out yesterday.
The Jackson County Central cheerleaders work hard all week getting ready for each game and the Huskies are making them work on game night.
After each JCC score, the cheerleaders do the corresponding number of jumping jacks. And just like the numbers the football team keeps putting up, the cheerleaders are building some impressive statistics.
The cheerleaders did 329 jumping jacks during the Minnesota Valley Lutheran game, bringing their season total to 1,601.
Here’s the breakdown:
Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial 156
Worthington 318
Blue Earth Area 332
Le Sueur-Henderson 284
Redwood Valley 182
Minnesota Valley Lutheran 329
Total 1,601
The JCC cheer team finished second at the Great Minnesota Cheer Off Saturday at Bloomington Jefferson High School. They won the state title in 2023.
The Huskies finished first in sideline cheer and school song.

Fun fact
I may be adding a fun fact to these proceedings each week.
Here’s a fun fact I came across this weekend.
Vin Scully broadcast Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers games from 1950-2016.
He called games involving Connie Mack, born in 1862, and Julio Urias, born in 1996.
