In this week's edition of Lots O' Stuff we have cross country, volleyball, football, soccer, hockey and baseball news.

Cross country
Jackson County Central graduate Jessica Christoffer, a junior with the South Dakota State women's cross country program, placed 115th out of 234 finishers in the Gold (Division I) Division of the Roy Griak Invitational at Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights.
She had a 6K time of 23:27.8.
The Jackrabbits placed 10th out of 21 teams.
Volleyball
JCC grad Alaina Wolff is a 5-foot-6 freshman libero for NCAA Division II eighth-ranked Wayne State College. The Wildcats went 3-0 at home this week, winning each match 3-0.
Alaina had a team-high 13 digs and one service ace vs. University of Sioux Falls, eight digs and two aces vs. Minnesota-Crookston and six digs, two set assists and one ace vs. Bemidji State.
WSC, now 10-2, is in North Dakota next weekend for matches at the University of Mary and Minot State.
JCC graduate Molly Brinkman is a 5-6 defensive specialist at Mount Marty College.
On Tuesday she had 19 digs, four set assists and one ace serve vs. Morningside; she posted five digs, two assists and one ace vs. Concordia (Neb.); and then had six digs and three assists Saturday vs. Midland University.
The Lancers lost all three matches.
Two local grads are on the volleyball team at Bethany Lutheran College.
JCC grad Megan Gallagher is a 5-6 freshman setter for the Vikings. She had 35 set assists, a career-high four ace serves, three kills and two digs in a loss to Martin Luther.
Martin County West graduate Karlee Thiesse, 5-10 junior middle, had three kills and two digs vs. Wisconsin-Superior and three kills and four digs vs. Northland College.
Heron Lake-Okabena-Lakefield graduate Lindsey Wilber's Dakota Wesleyan squad is 15-1 after wins this week at No. 5 Dordt and at home vs. Briar Cliff.
It was the first win ever over Dordt for the Tigers, who hope to make it into the national NAIA ratings this week.
Football
Two local graduates are seniors with Dakota State, which celebrated homecoming and Senior Day Saturday with a 20-16 win over Mayville State.
JCC grad Nico Feroni, a linebacker, made five tackles including one for a two-yard loss.
Fairmont graduate Connor Tordsen, a defensive end, also had five tackles for the Trojans, who are 3-1 and play at Waldorf next Saturday.
Hockey
Hobie Hedquist of Heron Lake earned the win in goal for the Alberni Valley Bulldogs Junior A Hockey Club in a 5-2 preseason win over the Nanaimo Clippers.
Hedquist played 40 minutes and stopped all 11 shots he faced.
Alberni Valley has another weekend of preseason games before opening its British Columbia Hockey League regular-season schedule on Oct. 8.
Baseball
Fairmont graduate Luke Becker is an infielder for the Schaumburg Boomers. who will play for the Frontier League championship Sunday evening.
The Boomers and Washington Wild Things are tied 2-2 in the best-of-five championship series. Schaumburg won the opening game, Washington won two straight and then the Boomers sent the series to a fifth game with a win Saturday night.
Becker had a hit and walked in Game 2 and drew a walk in Game 3 of the series.
