MCW golf teams play at Madelia

The Martin County West golf teams played at Madelia Golf Course Thursday.

In the boys meet, Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial was the winner with a 169 total. Minnesota Valley Lutheran finished with 171, while the Mavericks and host Blackhawks each shot 186.

Hunter Schmidt was low for MCW with a 39. Kale Larson was next with a 44, Knox Larson shot 49, Cade Williamson and Carson Scheff each carded 54s and Isaak Engstrom had a 74.

MVL’s Ben Pearson was medalist with a 36.

Minnesota Valley Lutheran won the girls event with a 216, Madelia shot 252, Martin County West 289 and LWCM did not have a complete team.

Brenna Heiffner led the Mavericks with a 66, Aaliyah Bolstad carded 73, Ariel Freeman and Clare Paulson each had 75, Shanna Amborn shot 80 and Braelyn Faber had a 105.

MVL’s Jorga Brown was medalist with a 47.

Both Martin County West teams will play at Terrace View Golf Course in Mankato next Thursday along with host St. Clair/Loyola, Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther and Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial.
