Martin County West’s golf teams opened their seasons Tuesday at Minn-Iowa Golf Club in Blue Earth.
There were three boys teams, with United South Central finishing first with a 170 total, followed by the host Buccaneers (176) and the Mavericks (202).
The girls event was a dual, with BEA topping MCW 191-319.
Sharing medalist honors for the boys were Martin County West’s Hunter Schmidt and United South Central’s Kadyn Neubauer with 37s.
Kale Larson was next for MCW (51), followed by Carson Scheff (53), Joshua Roben (61) and Isaak Engstrom (76).
Medalist honors for the girls was shared by a pair of Buccaneers, Payten Gudahl and Katelyn Storbeck, who both shot 46.
Brenna Heifner was low for Martin County West with a 67, followed by Kylan Andersen (69), Clare Paulson (90), Ariel Freeman (93) and Ava Paulson (105).
Both Maverick teams will play at Madelia Thursday.
