Six local runners earned medals for placing in the top 10 at the Tri For Health Invitational cross country meet Thursday at Loon Lake Golf Course.
Jackson County Central's boys had two medalists as they were third in the team standings.
Andrew Boyum was third in the 81-runner field with a time of 17:25.79 and Evan Paplow was fifth in 17:31.16.
Martin County West's Jamesson Forsberg was second in 17:25.67. Fanuel Wolday of Worthington was the individual winner in 17:12.44.
The Trojans won the team title with 36 points, with Luverne second (58) and Jackson County Central (70).
JCC's girls had one medal winner as Olivia Anderson placed sixth out of 61 runners in 21:34.24.
MCW had two medalists as Katie Hartke was fourth (21:07.03) and Katelynn Kennedy 10th (23:17.33).
Martin County West was fourth in the girls team standings. Jackson County Central did not have a complete team. Luverne won the girls team title.
The Mavericks will participate in the Milaca Mega Meet Saturday, with the girls running at 12:15 p.m. and the boys at 1:00.
The Huskies will be at the MCC/Fulda Warriors Invitational Tuesday at Slayton Country Club, with the girls at 4:45 p.m. and boys at 5:05.
