Jackson went on the road and claimed a 9-8 win over Fairmont in American Legion baseball Thursday night.
Fairmont scored four in the bottom of the second inning, with Post 130 answering right back with six in the top of the third. Each team scored one in the fifth, Jackson added two in the top of the sixth. Fairmont scored three in the bottom to get within one.
Gavin Jacobsen struck out the final two batters in the sixth inning and then struck out the side in the seventh as Jackson improved to 4-0 on the summer.
Trace Michelson and Andrew Boyum had each pitched one inning before Jacobsen threw the remaining five innings.
Michelson also doubled and walked twice at the plate. Bryson Powers tripled and walked.
Jacobsen, Payton Handevidt and Ben Spaeth each had a hit and walked. Leighton Polz walked and was hit by a pitch. Mason Pohlman also had a hit.
