After a pair of narrow road losses to end the past week, the Jackson County Central girls basketball team will be at home for two of three games this next week.
The Huskies lost 68-66 in overtime to Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey Thursday in Comfrey. The Wolverines led 34-31 at halftime and the score was tied at 60 after regulation.
Maci Farmer had a double-double of 25 points and 13 rebounds and Rylie Cother was close to a double-double of her own with 23 points and nine rebounds. Kylee Wenzel added 12 points for JCC.
On Friday Jackson County Central lost 56-51 at Waseca. The Huskies held a 30-24 halftime lead but were outscored 32-21 in the second half.
Cother scored 20 points, Farmer 13 and Wenzel nine for JCC.
The Huskies now 7-7 on the season. Worthington will bring a 4-12 record to town Tuesday for the only meeting with the Trojans this season under the conference’s new pod scheduling format.
Jackson County Central is at Windom (8-7) Thursday night. The Huskies were 74-64 winners over the Eagles in Jackson on Dec. 6.
And then on Saturday JCC will play Waseca for the second time in nine days, this time in a matinee contest in Jackson.
