MANKATO – Hanna Geistfeld of Truman, a 6-foot senior with the Bethany Lutheran College women’s basketball team, leads NCAA Division III in five statistical categories and is in the top 100 in five other departments.
Geistfeld leads the nation in double doubles (9), field goals (106), points (297), free throws (81), and rebounds (155).
She is also seventh in scoring (22.8), 21st in defensive rebounds per game (8.5), 26th in rebounds (11.9), 53rd in field goal percentage (52.0), and 83rd in assists (41).
At Bethany, Geistfeld ranks in the top 10 in nine categories.
She is the career leader in field goals (711), second in points (1,874), second in free throws (434), second in games started (105), second in games played (106) second in rebounds (890), fourth in double doubles (38), seventh in assists (211) and 10th in blocks (37).
The Vikings travel to New Ulm Saturday to take on Martin Luther College.
Bethany is 7-6 overall and leads the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference with a 2-0 record. North Central is 1-0. Martin Luther and Wisconsin-Superior are both 1-1.
