
Two former Martin County Red Bull wrestlers are listed in the individual ratings of the National Wrestling Coaches Association Preseason Division II poll.
Jaxson Rohman is rated eighth at 125 pounds and Miles Fitzgerald is 10th at 165.
Both are sophomores and both competed in the NCAA tournament last season.
Rohman placed third at the NCAA Super Region V tournament and finished the season with a 17-7 record with two of those wins coming by falls.
Fitzgerald was 21-7 with three falls.
They’re two parts of a large contingent of local connections with the Vikings.
Two other former Red Bulls are on the Augustana roster, sophomore Payton Anderson (157) and redshirt freshman Connor Simmonds (149-157).
There are also two Jackson County Central graduates, junior Jacob Tvinnereim (165-174) and freshman Payton Handevidt (165).
Another JCC grad, Cooper Moore, is a graduate assistant coach.
Also on the Vikings’ roster is former Windom/Mountain Lake Cobra Kade Sammons (141), a redshirt freshman.
Augustana was fifth in the team ratings.
The Vikings begin their season at the Yellow Jacket Open in Rochester, Minnesota, on November 5. Their first dual is Friday, Nov. 18 at South Dakota State.
