Carsen Musser picked up the win in goal as the U.S. National Under-18 Team defeated Mercyhurst University 6-1 Saturday night at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich.
The Sherburn native made 18 saves on the 19 shots he faced as the U18s improved their record to 25-8. He made six saves in the first period, three in the second and nine in the third.
For the season, Musser has played in 16 games and has a 9-4 record. He’s played 807 minutes and 30 seconds and has a save percentage of .892 and goals-against average of 3.12.
Next for the NTDP is a pair of games in Wisconsin next weekend, playing at the Madison Capitals of the United States Hockey League Friday and at the University of Wisconsin Saturday.
