Carsen Musser recorded the win in goal and was named the No. 1 Star of the Game as the Madison Capitols were 6-1 winners over the Chicago Steel in a United States Hockey League game Friday at Bob Suter Capitol Ice in Middleton, Wis.
Musser made 19 saves in the win, making eight stops in the first period, 10 in the second and he was then called on to make only one save in the third.
A Sherburn native, Musser has split time in goal equally for Madison as he and Patriks Berzins have each played 11 games for the Capitols, who have record of 10-6-4-2.
Musser is 5-2-2-2. He has a goals against average of 2.66 and a save percentage of .905.
Madison has a pair of home games next weekend, hosting the Dubuque Fighting Saints Saturday and the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders Sunday.
Musser has committed to attend Colorado College and was a sixth-round pick (166th overall) of the Arizona Coyotes in the NHL Draft.
