It doesn't happen often that you get to host a team that is ranked first in the state.
Unless you're the Jackson County Central volleyball team. Then you do it twice in three days.
The Huskies are ranked pretty high themselves. They were tied for fourth in this week's Class 2A ratings by the Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association.

Next week, JCC will host two top-ranked teams.
First up is Marshall on Tuesday (Sept. 14) in a Big South Conference West Division match. The Tigers are ranked first in Class 3A.
They’re led by legendary coach Dan Westby. You can call a coach legendary when he is still coaching 10 years after being inducted into the Hall of Fame, which he was in 2011.
And there's no reason to believe Westby or Marshall is slowing down.
The Tigers are 5-0 in matches and 15-1 in sets this season. The Tigers did drop a set to Luverne at home in their conference opener on Tuesday.
Marshall will play five matches this weekend at the Southwest Challenge in Marshall.
Then next Thursday (Sept. 16) JCC will host Sioux Falls Christian in a nonconference match.
The Chargers are a unanimous No. 1 in this week's Class A South Dakota media volleyball poll. That's the middle of the three classes of volleyball in South Dakota.
SFC is undefeated at 6-0 on the season in matches and is 14-0 in sets. The Chargers have matches vs. West Central and McCook Central/Montrose before coming to Jackson.
As if that wasn't enough, the high-level volleyball in Jackson won't be done on Thursday.
A week from Saturday (Sept. 18) the Huskies will host the Carolyn Hummel Invitational. More on that in a future newsletter.
