Brooke Tatnell drove the DeWall Racing #16 to a win Saturday night at the Jerry Richert Memorial at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis.
It's was the sixth Richert Memorial win for Tatnell, who is from San Souci, NSW, Australia. The event honors the 1962 Knoxville Nationals champion.
After taking the green flag in the 30-lap Interstate Racing Association A Feature, Scotty Thiel (Sheboygan, Wis.) quickly moved 3 wide down the backstretch to steal the lead away from front-row starters Danny Schlafer (Gibson, Wis.) and Skylar Prochaska (Lakefield).
Justin Henderson (Tea, S.D.) would catch Thiel and the pair would exchange slide jobs and the lead.
While the duo bounced off of lapped traffic battling for the lead, Tatnell had caught the pair and moved into third.
The top three ran nose to tail through lapped traffic looking for an opportunity to capitalize. Tatnell would find a line past Thiel and look to move past Henderson.
While Tatnell and Henderson battled, Thiel kept close to them looking for his chance to capitalize. With five laps remaining, Tatnell slid past Henderson for the lead.
Henderson attempted to cross over but could not take the lead back and Tatnell went on to claim the win.
Tatnell had finished fourth in qualifying and third in Dash No. 1.
Prochaska would finish 12th in the A Feature after winnng his dash and finishing third in his heat and third in qualifying.
Two Jackson drivers competed in 360 class.
Derrik Lusk was ninth in the A feature after placing sixth in his heat and Brandon Halverson was 17th in the A Feature after a fifth-place finish in his heat.
Justin Henderson won the 360 A feature, with Tatnell second and Kaleb Johnson (Sioux Falls) third.
