CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Martin County West graduate Brandon Williamson was not involved in the decision Tuesday as the Chattanooga Lookouts were 7-6 winners over the Biloxi Shuckers in a Southern League game.
Chattanooga is the Double-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, while the Shuckers are an affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.
Williamson went three and one-third innings, allowing three runs on five hits, walking three and striking out. He threw 80 pitches, 49 for strikes.
The Lookouts led 4-3 when Williamson left the game.
For the season, he has a 5-2 record with a 4.06 earned run average.
Williamson has pitched 57 and two-third innings, allowing 26 runs on 50 hits, walking 35 and striking out 60.
He ranks third in the league in innings pitched, seventh in strikeouts and ninth in ERA.
Chattanooga has a 31-28 record and is in third place in the Southern Division of the Southern League, 4.5 games behind the Rocket City Trash Pandas.
