Jackson had a total of 33 hits and nine players had multiple-hit games as the Bulls were 29-6 winners at Heron Lake in First Nite League amateur baseball Sunday. Lakers pitchers also walked 10 batters.
The Bulls scored 10 runs in the first inning, one in the second, four in the third, three in the fourth, nine in the fifth and two in the sixth.
Andy Wolf was on base eight times in the game shortened to seven innings by the 10-run rule. He had six hits, walked once and was hit by a pitch. Wolf had five runs batted in.
Seth Busch and Will Larson had four hits apiece; Carter Snyder had three hits including Jackson’s first home run of the season; Easton Bahr, Gage Johnson and Ben Gallagher had three hits apiece; and Blaise Jacobsen and Chris Gumto each had two hits.
Jackson used four pitchers, with Trace Michelson going the first four innings to collect the win, with Blake Evans, Talan Holm and Landon Vaske each pitching one inning.
The Bulls improve to 4-0. Jackson is at Windom for a 4 p.m. game Sunday.
