
Some former local student-athletes have earned offseason honors from their college wrestling programs.
Two Jackson County Central graduates have been named captains for next season at Concordia College in Moorhead.
Kie Anderson and Will Freking will be team leaders for the Cobbers. Both will be seniors.
Anderson is majoring in Biology. The 133-pounder had an 18-16 record last season and is 37-29 for his career with 22 wins by fall, three technical falls and three major decisions.
Freking, who transferred to Concordia from St. Olaf College, was 15-10 at 197 last season and is 23-18 in two seasons with the Cobbers with 14 falls, one tech fall and one major. He had played football as a freshman at St. Olaf.

Also, Martin County West grad Blake Jagodzinske is a finalist for Men’s Honor Athlete at Augsburg University.
A senior Accounting/Finance major, Jagodzinske has a 4.0 grade point average. He was a four-time NWCA D-III Scholar All-American. Jagodzinske earned all-American honors in 2024 when he placed fifth at 157 pounds.
He finished his career with an 81-22 record, with 30 pins, six technical falls and four major decisions.
