Eagle hockey teams face road games
The Windom Area hockey teams will be on the road this weekend, with the boys playing twice and the girls once.
Both squads will play Morris/Benson Area Friday in Benson and then the boys go to Luverne Friday for a makeup game vs. the Cardinals.
The Eagle girls, 7-11-2, will be playing the Storm (7-10-1) for the third time this season at 5 p.m. Friday in Benson. Windom was a 6-3 winner on Dec. 27 in Morris and MBA won 8-5 in Windom on Jan. 12.
The boys game will follow at about 7 p.m. Windom is 7-9 and Morris/Benson 8-7. It’s their lone meeting of the season.
The Eagle boys will be at Luverne for a Big South Conference contest at 5 p.m. Saturday. Windom 6-3 in conference play, right behind the 6-2 Cardinals. Luverne is 10-5-1 overall.
Those teams play again Feb. 16 in Windom.
