One of Martin County’s three wrestlers made it through the first day of the state Class 2A individual wrestling tournament at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
Max Olson won his first-round match, lost in the quarterfinals at 220 pounds on Friday and is still in the running to bring home a medal from the state tournament and earn all-state honors.
If he can win in the next round of wrestlebacks Saturday morning, he’ll get two more matches and could still place as high as third.
