
Martin County West graduate Jaxson Rohman will compete in the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships for the fourth time starting Friday at Corteva Coliseum in Indianapolis.
Rohnan has wrestled at 125 pounds in each of his trips to the nationals. He has an 18-4 record this season and is seeded third.
After qualifying for the national tournament as a freshman, Rohman has placed second in each of the last two years.
He qualified for this year’s national tourney by winning three matches at the Super Region V tournament earlier this month in Sioux Falls, winning by tech fall, major decision and fall.
Rohman will take on Bryce Beatty of Millersville (23-7) in the first round.
He’s one of four Augustana wrestlers at the national tournament will be Cael Larson (Rapid City) at 149 pounds, Cade Mueller (Waconia) at 184 and Max Ramberg (Baldwin, Wis.) at 197.
Jackson County Central graduate Cooper Moore is an assistant coach with the Vikings.
Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference schools will have 28 wrestlers competing in the tournament. Here’s the breakdown by school:
