Martin County West graduate Katie Lange will represent the United States in the Women's Freestyle U23 Pan American Championships that start Friday in Querétaro, Mexico.
She qualified for the event by placing second in the 62 kg weight class at the 2025 USMC Women's Championship in Spokane, Wash., earlier this month.
Lange, a 2023 U23 World Team member, faces two-time age-group Pan American Championships silver medalist Leiddy Acuna Penaranda of Ecuador to open the tournament.
This weekend’s event is a qualifier for the 2025 Junior Pan American Games in Asunción, Paraguay, in August.
