Jackson County Central wrapped up the sixth unbeaten regular season in school football history Wednesday night with a 28-7 win over St. Peter at Swearingen Field.
The Huskies are 8-0. JCC was also unbeaten in the regular season in 1997, 2000, 2003, 2016 and 2019.
Gabe Wolff scored two of Jackson County Central’s touchdowns, one a 42-yard screen pass from Roman Voss and the other on a 12-yard run.
Voss also threw a 62-yard TD pass to Ben Dahlin and Seth Stai scored on a five-yard.
JCC ran for 232 yards and passed for 190 for 422 total yards while limiting the Saints to 83 yards on the ground and 86 in the air for 169 yards.
Pairings for the Section 3AA playoffs will not be determined until Thursday morning but the Huskies will be seeded first and are apparently looking at a first-round game Tuesday vs. the No. 8 seed, probably Windom.
The other game on that side of the bracket will likely have No. 5 seed Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial at No. 4 seed Redwood Valley. The Cardinals beat the Knights 40-21 in Lake Crystal Wednesday night to earn the right to host the playoff matchup.
