Jackson and Lakefield were both winners at home Wednesday night in the first game of their respective amateur baseball playoff series.
The Bulls scored 21 runs for the second straight game, beating Tracy 21-0 at Wacker Field. Jackson scored 17 runs in the fourth when it sent 23 batters to the plate and added four more in the fourth.
Payton Handevidt had three hits in that third inning and also walked later in the game. Andy Wolf also had three hits in the game (two in the third) and walked for the Bulls.
Ryan Rasche went the first four innings and was the winning pitcher.
Game Two is at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tracy.
The Frogs used three pitchers (Levi Lindley, Keegan Klontz and Dalton Henning) in a 5-1 win over Ruthton.
Lindley, Bryce Christopher and Mason Pohlman each had two hits for Lakefield.
Game Two is at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Ruthton.
If Game Three is necessary, it would be played at 2 p.m. Sunday.
