Jackson will host Fairmont in Game 2 of their best-of-three Region 13C amateur baseball playoff series at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Wacker Field.
The Martins won Game 1 by a 4-3 margin Wednesday.
Fairmont scored two runs in the third inning of the opener.
The Bulls would come back to take the lead.
In the sixth inning, Payton Handevidt doubled to lead off the sixth inning, followed by a single by Easton Bahr. With one out, Carter Snyder singled to score Handevidt.
The Bulls took the lead with two in the seventh.
Shad Wacker reached on an error, followed by singles by Seth Busch and pinch-hitter Blaise Jacobsen to load the bases.
After a force out at the plate, Easton Bahr picked up an RBI on a sacrifice fly to right field and Andy Wolf reached on an error that brought in another run give Jackson a 3-2 lead.
The Martins scored two runs in the eighth to take the lead back at 4-3. Bahr singled with two out in the ninth but that was it for the Bulls.
If Jackson wins Friday, Game 3 would be back in Fairmont at 2 p.m. Sunday.
In the other series, Luverne topped Hadley 5-2 on Wednesday.
Game 2 in that series is at Hadley Saturday. If there is a Game 3, it would be played in Luverne Sunday.
The winners and losers will play another best-of-three series next week to determine the seed order for the state tournament.
