
Eight members of the Jackson County Central football team has been named to the Class AA preseason all-state team by the website PrepRedzoneMN.
Junior Roman Voss is the Class AA Preseason Player of the Year and is also a first-team selection at the Athlete position. Voss plays quarterback and receiver on offense for the Huskies, is a safety on defense and was JCC’ punter.
Voss has received seven offers from Power Four football conference schools. He’s received offers from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Kansas State, Iowa, Iowa State, Illinois and California. Voss also visited Penn State earlier this month.

Weston Rowe, also a junior, was named first-team all-state on the offensive line.
Recently he has received Game Day visit offers from FCS schools North Dakota, Montana, Cornell, South Dakota State and Northern Iowa as well as FBS schools Central Michigan, Iowa State, Iowa and Minnesota.

Senior Ben Dahlin was named to the first team at wide receiver. He has received an offer from Northwestern (IA).
Clay Malchow, another senior, is a preseason all-state pick on both sides of the ball as he is a second-team choice at running back and was also named to the second team at defensive back. Malchow has had offers from Northwestern (IA) and Dordt.

Two more senior Huskies have been named to the all-state team on defense at linebacker.
Ian Titterington, who has offers from Simpson and Buena Vista, was named to the second team; and Tavion Diggs is a third-team linebacker.
Rounding out the list are two honorable mention selections, senior Caleb Haskin on the defensive line and sophomore Gage Johnson at running back.
JCC opens its season Friday at Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial.
