In his first appearance of the season with the Everett AquaSox, the High-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, Martin County West graduate Brandon Williamson had a quality outing Saturday night.
He pitched four innings, allowing no runs on two hits, did not walk a batter and struck out nine. He threw 67 pitches, 45 for strikes.
Williamson, a second-round draft pick of the Mariners in 2019, struck out two in the first inning, fanned the side in the second, struck out one more in the third and struck out the side again in the fourth inning.
Williamson's numbers in 11 minor league appearances, the first 10 of which were in 2019: 19.1 IP 6 R 4 ER 11 H 5 BB 1 HP 34 K 1.86 ERA.
