For the third time in four starts it rained during a game Brandon Williamson started on the mound for the Cincinnati Reds, but this time the Martin County West graduate’s night was done on Monday.

The left-hander would wind up with a no decision.
Cincinnati would tie the game at 2-2 before the rain came and halted play in the top of the eighth inning. The game was suspended after a one-hour, 55-minute delay and completed today) Tuesday with San Francisco winning 4-2 in 10 innings.
Williamson pitched well. He allowed only two runs on four hits, walking three and striking out three.
Williamson threw a career-high 98 pitches, 61 for strikes.
He became the third Reds pitcher in the past five games to deliver a quality start. Williamson gave up a pair of solo home runs (to Austin Slater in the third inning and Wilmer Flores in the sixth).
“I felt good. Throwing pretty solid," Williamson told mlb.com. "I just left a few over the plate and there were hard hits. Other than that, it was a pretty good outing.”
Williamson’s next start is scheduled for Saturday at home vs. Arizona.
Cincinnati is 50-46, 2 1/2 games behind Milwaukee in the National League Central Division.
