Hall of Fame
The Jackson Racing Hall of Fame will be inducting four new members at a ceremony Saturday at the Jackson America Legion.
Two have passed away, Paul Jerousek, flagman at Jackson Speedway for many years; and Dan Voigt, who was instrumental in forming a safety team at Jackson Speedway in the early 1990's.
Also being inducted this year are drivers Troy Schmidtke and Randy Winter.
Schmidtke was a multi-time track champion in three different divisions, Hobby Stocks, Stock Cars and Double Barrel Sprint Cars. He also picked up Jackson Nationals wins in all three classes.
Winter won track championships in both the Modified and Sport Mod divisions.
The event starts with a meal at noon, followed by the induction ceremony.
