Brandon Halverson’s first time at Buena Vista Raceway in Alta, Iowa was a successful one as the Jackson driver won the 305 winged sprint feature Wednesday.
Halverson started sixth in the feature.
He also won his heat race earlier in the night.
MSTS
After nearly a month off, the Midwest Sprint Touring Series resumes action this weekend with a pair of events in Nebraska.
The series visits I-80 Speedway in Greenwood Friday and Off Road Speedway in Norfolk Saturday.
The MSTS concludes its season next weekend at the Bull Haulers Brawl at Huset’s Speedway Saturday, Sept. 3 and Sunday, Sept. 4.

Friday will be a regular night of racing and the Tri-State Late Model Series will be on hand. Luke Sathoff of Jackson is ninth in that group’s point standings.
Next Wednesday will be Season Championship Night.
