
The first of two scheduled World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series races at Jackson Motorplex this season is scheduled for Wednesday.
The FENDT Showdown features the Outlaws along with the Sioux Marble Late Model Street Stocks Touring Series presented by Dakota Custom Builders, LLC. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m.
The top five drivers in the World of Outlaws championship standings have produced multiple victories this season with Jackson Motorplex sponsored driver David Gravel of Watertown, Connecticut leading the way with eight trips to Victory Lane.
Michael ‘Buddy’ Kofoid (Penngrove, Calif.) ranks second with four wins, followed by Carson Macedo (LeMoore, Calif.) with three.
Gravel leads the current championship standings by 188 points over Kofoid.

A total of 13 different drivers have earned a World of Outlaws win at Jackson Motorplex since the inaugural visit in 1987. Nine drivers have recorded a triumph during the last decade.
Schatz and Carson Macedo were victorious at Jackson Motorplex last year.
The World of Outlaws is scheduled to be at Jackson Motorplex again on Saturday, Aug. 16.
Huset’s
Ryan Timms, Jared Jansen and Cory Yeigh each recorded their first win of the season Sunday at Huset’s Speedway.
Timms led the distance of the 25-lap Cressman Sanitation Midwest Sprint Touring Series 410 Sprint Cars and Cressman Sanitation 410 Outlaw Sprint Cars main event for his seventh career win at the track.
Hunter Schuerenberg was second in his first visit to the track this season, with Ayrton Gennetten, Kerry Madsen and points leader Kaleb Johnson rounding out the top five. Johnson had won the first three races at Huset’s this season.
Riley Goodno was ninth in the DeWall Racing No. 16 car.
Jansen made a late-race pass of Sawyer Grogan to pick up his second career Heser Auto & Detailing RaceSaver Sprint Car Series victory. He’s the fourth different driver to win in the division in four races this season.
Aydin Lloyd was third. Brandon Halverson (Jackson) was seventh.
Yeigh became the fourth different Nordstrom’s Automotive Late Model Street Stocks feature winner in four races at the track this season.
Huset’s points
There have been 10 different drivers who have won a main event at Huset’s through the first four Sundays of the season.
Kaleb Johnson is the only multiple-race winner as he has recorded three Cressman Sanitation 410 Outlaw Sprint Cars triumphs.
