Friday was a big night at Fairmont Raceway. It was Hall of Fame Night and there was racing on both the big track and the bullring.
This year's Hall of Fame class was Marv DeWall, Gary Sathoff, Todd Steuber, Mark Steuber, Terry Hanning, Richard (Punk) Mennen and Jim Larson.
Brandon Beckendorf (Danube) won two feature races.
He was the modified feature winner, with Oliver Kollofski (Fairmont) second and Todd Stinehart (Waseca) third. Beckendorf and Kelly Shryock (Fertile) were heat winners.
Beckendorf also won the first of two stock car features. Derek Green (Granada) placed second and Austin Jahnz (Lewisville) third. Jahnz would then win the second feature, followed by Dustin Larson (Rushmore) and Trent Schroeder (Worthington). Dustin Larson (Rushmore) and Jeff Larson (Lakefield) won heat races.
Jared Boumeester (Waseca) was the B mod feature winner and also won a heat race. Troy Gochanour (Armstrong) was second in the feature and won the other heat race. Jeff Carter (Mapleton) was third in the feature.
Dan Strandberg (Worthington) was the hobby stock feature winner. Parker Larson (Lewisville) finished second and Ernie Dailey (Worthington) third. Strandberg won the only heat race.
In the sport compact class, Jaedon Erickson (Welcome) was the winner of the feature race and won the only heat, with Brandon Hartmann (Fairmont) second and Cade Lehr (Fairmont) third.
Feature winners in the bullring were Kynlee Beemer (Fairmont) in Junior 1, Gavin Gregory (Luverne) in Junior 2, Kirk Weber (Newell, Iowa) in adult clone and Klay Beemer (Fairmont) in the Bomber class.
Jackson Nationals
The 43rd AGCO Jackson Nationals starts Thursday at Jackson Motorplex. The event, which pays $50,000 to win continues Friday and Saturday
Both preliminary nights for the World of Outlaws tripleheader are $10,000 to win and $1,000 to start leading up to the big prize at the finale. The $50,000-to-win and $2,000-to-start feature is one of the highest paying races in the country.
In addition to the great payout throughout the field, one driver will have an opportunity for a $100,000 bonus. A driver who captures the $30,000-to-win Huset’s 50 on Tuesday can earn the six-figure bonus by also winning the Jackson Nationals finale Saturday for a total of $180,000.
Brad Sweet is the defending World of Outlaws champion and currently holds a 52-point lead over David Gravel.
Carson Macedo is third, 76 points off the pace; with Donny Schatz 134 points back and Sheldon Haudenschild 144 points off the pace.
Schatz claimed his 300th career win Friday at Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway and Haudenschild Saturday night's event at Beaver Dam, Wis.

Justin Henderson (Tea, S.D.) won Friday's Midwest Sprint Touring Series stop at Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, with Brooke Tatnell (San Souci, NSW, Australia) winning Saturday night at Ogilvie Raceway.
Knoxville
Tony Stewart (Columbus, Ind.) won the 50-lap Camping World Superstar Racing Experience Saturday night at Knoxville Raceway.
Filling out the top five were Hailie Deegan (Temecula, Calif.), Ernie Francis Jr. (Davie, Fla.) Helio Castroneves (Ribeirao Pretom Brazil) and Michael Waltrip (Owensboro, Ky.).
Stewart and Scott Bloomquist (Mooresburg, Tenn.) won heat races.
Kerry Madsen (St. Mary's, NSW, Australia) won the 410 feature, followed by Brian Brown (Grain Valley, Mo.) and Don Droud Jr. (Lincoln, Neb.).
