Jackson Motorplex is scheduled to get its season underway Tuesday with the first round of the Bank Midwest IMCA Series.
On the program are IMCA modifieds, IMCA stock cars, IMCA sport mods, IMCA hobby stocks and IMCA sport compacts. The modifieds, stock cars and sport mods will each have a $1,000-to-win main event.
It’s the first of three rounds in the series. Other dates are June 14 and July 26.
Winged sprint cars return to Jackson Friday for Tweeter Contracting and Boji Spudz Night.
The Midwest Sprint Touring Series and Midwest Power Series combine for a $3,000-to-win 360 feature. The Wyffels Hybrids RaceSaver Sprint Cars will also compete in a $700-to-win main event.
MSTS
Friday’s event in Jackson is the second of the season for the MSTS.
The first was Saturday at Off Road Speedway in Norfolk, Neb.
Jody Rosenboom (Rock Rapids) won the 25-lap A Feature. Jason Martin (Lincoln) was second and Jake Bubak (Arvada, Colo.) third.
Heat winners were Martin, Troy Schreurs (Baltic, S.D.) and Bubak.
Huset’s Speedway
Lynton Jeffrey (Prairie City, Iowa) won Sunday’s 410 feature at Huset’s. Dusty Zomer (Brandon) was second and Justin Henderson (Tea, S.D.) third.
Kaleb Johnson (Sioux Falls) was eighth, Brooke Tatnell (San Souci, NSW, Australia) ninth in the DeWall No. 16, and Skylar Prochaska (Lakefield) 16th.
Johnson was fourth in his heat race, Tatnell third and Prochaska fifth.
Heat winners were Mark Dobmeier (Grand Forks), Aaron Reutzel (Clute, Tex.) and Ryan Timms (Oklahoma City).
Trevor Serbus (Olivia) won the RaceSaver Sprint Car feature, with Lee Goos Jr. (Hartford, S.D.) second and Koby Werkmeister (Armour, S.D.) third.
Knoxville Raceway
Brian Brown (Grain Valley, Mo.) won the 410 feature Saturday at Knoxville Raceway.
Clint Garner (Sioux Falls) won the regular 360 feature, while Aaron Reutzel won the makeup 410 feature from April 23.
Kaleb Johnson finished fifth in both 360 features and won his heat race.
I-90 Speedway
Brandon Halverson (Jackson) competed in the RaceSaver sprints class at I-90 Speedway in Hartford, S.D. Saturday. He was 18th in the feature after finishing fifth in his heat race.
He’s 12th in track points with 58.
Casey Abbas (Lennox, S.D.) is first with 76 points, with Goos second with 74 points and Andrew Sullivan (Arnolds Park) with 69.
Fairmont Raceway
Maybe the third time will be the charm for management at Fairmont Raceway as they try again to get their season started.
After a pair of rainouts, the season opener is now scheduled for Wednesday.
Events slated to run at Fairmont this year are USRA B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks, USRA Modifieds, USRA Stock Cars and USRA Tuners.
