Lee Grosz and Brandon Bosma were feature winners Friday night at a sprint car show at Jackson Motorplex.
Grosz (Watertown, S.D.) recorded his fifth career Midwest Power Series victory. He is second on the all-time series list.
The event was also sanctioned by the Midwest Sprint Touring Series and was his 12th win with that group, which is also good for second place on the career wins list.
Jody Rosenboom (Rock Rapids) was second, with Jack Dover (Springfield, Neb.) third, Tim Estenson (Fargo) fourth and Eric Lutz (Sioux Falls) fifth.
Grosz set quick time during qualifying. Estenson, Dover and Brooke Tatnell (Sans Souci, NSW, Australia) each won a heat race.
Bosma (Rock Rapids) started eighth and won the RaceSaver Sprint Car feature.
Dusty Ballenger (Harrisburg, S.D.) finished second, followed by Rosenboom, Brandon Allen (St. Peter) and Javen Ostermann (Courtland).
Allen, Rosenboom and Ballenger were heat race winners.
The next event at Jackson Motorplex is the 43rd annual AGCO Jackson Nationals June 24-26. The World of Outlaws event will pay $50,000 to win.
Knoxville
Carson Macedo (Lemoore, Calif.) claimed his first 410 win at Knoxville Raceway Friday on the first night of the World of Outlaws stop there.
Logan Schuchart (Hanover, Penn.) was second and Kerry Madsen (St. Mary’s, NSW, Australia) third.
The WOO runs again Saturday in Knoxville.
Fairmont
Friday's Hall of Fame Night show at Fairmont Raceway was canceled due to a water truck issue. The event will be rescheduled.
Races are scheduled for next Friday at Fairmont.
