Jackson Motorplex will host the first two nights of The Border Battle featuring the Northern Outlaw Sprint Association Friday and Saturday. Sunday’s final night will be at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon.
For the Jackson shows, Friday’s event pays $4,000 to win, with Saturday’s race paying the winner $5,000.
Also, the Jackson Racing Hall of Fame will honor its latest class of inductees Saturday.
There’s a program at noon at the Intivity Center at AGCO followed by a social hour in the Beer Garden at Jackson Motorplex starting at 4:30 p.m.
This year’s inductees are William Slawson, Rosy’s Raceland and Jon McCorkell.
The finale at Huset’s Sunday is worth $4,000 to win.
There’s also a Triple Crown bonus of $10,000 for a driver who is able to win all three nights.
RaceSaver Sprint Car Series are the support class Friday and the Mid-American Renegades Sprint Car Series non-wing sprint cars will be on the program Saturday in Jackson and Sunday at Huset’s. Late Model Street Stocks will also compete on Sunday.
Mark Dobmeier (Grand Forks) leads the NOSA point standings by one point over Jake Bubak (Arvada, Colo.).

Fairmont Raceway
Wednesday was Hall of Fame Night at Fairmont Raceway.
This year’s inductees were Ron Fox (Blue Earth), Ted Zieman (Mason City), Jason Breitbarth (Fairmont), Eric Dailey (Armstrong), Tad Reutzel (Burt) and Dan Thate (Fairmont).
Jared Boumeester (Waseca) was the B-Mods feature winner Wednesday, with Kullen Kath (Owatonna) second and Michael Meyer (New Richland) third. Jared Boumeester won the lone heat race.
Winning the Hobby Stocks feature was Gavin Bussinger (Granada), with Dustin Gulbrandson (Sioux Falls) second and Greg Sidles (Fairmont) third. Heat winners were Sidles and Chad Volk (Lake Crystal).
In the Modifieds division, Ryan Wetzstein (West Concord) was the winner, followed by Josh Ruby (Lakota) and Steve Wetzstein (West Concord). Heat winners were Ruby and J.T. Wasmund (Pine Island).
Luke Sathoff (Jackson) was the Stock Cars feature winner with Derek Green (Granada) second and Chance Larson (Dunnell) third. Green also won the only heat race.
Alan Lahr (Nicollet) was the feature winner for the Tuners with Jaedon Erickson (Welcome) second and Brandon Hartmann (Fairmont) third. Erickson won the heat race.
Summer Shootout
Next Wednesday, Fairmont Raceway will host the opening event of the United States Racing Association Summer Shootout, five straight nights of racing in the region.

Stock Car and B-Mod drivers can win as much as $13,000 and one Hobby Stock driver will take home at least $7,000 with a sweep.
Each of the first four nights, Stock Cars and B-Mods will race for $2,000 to win and $300 to start with Hobby Stocks chasing a $1,000 top prize and $150 to start.
On the final night, Stock Cars and B-Mods will compete for $5,000 to win and $400 to start while Hobby Stock racers seek $3,000 to win and $300 to start.
