
Jackson County Central is third in the final state Class 2A Minnesota high school football media poll.
The Huskies are 8-0. They play their first Section 3AA playoff game at 3 p.m. Saturday at Swearingen Field vs. the winner of Tuesday’s game between Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial and LeSueur-Henderson.
Barnesville and Chatfield are again 1-2.
Fairmont stays eighth in the Class 3A poll. The Cardinals (6-2) have a bye Tuesday and host the winner of the Albert Lea-Luverne game Saturday in Section 3AAA.
Marshall remains seventh in Class 4A. The Tigers (7-1) host either New Ulm or Willmar Saturday in Section 2AAAA.
The top-ranked team remained the same in each class.
In addition to Barnesville, other teams staying at the top are Nevis (9-player), Minneota (1A), Stewartville (3A) and Becker (4A), Moorhead (5A) and Maple Grove (6A).
