Williamson results; Portmann preview

Drinking From a Hose became the fifth entry in RBC history to reach the coveted 90 percent mark in the Brandon Williamson Pod quarterfinals.

For the fifth time in the storied history of the Radom Bracket Challenge, an entry cleared the 90 percent mark in the quarterfinals of the Brandon Williamson Pod that were completed today (Wednesday).

Second-seeded Drinking From a Hose won 92-8 over 10^th-seeded Cleaning the Fridge, which had upset No. 7 seed Alabama Football in the Initial Eight.

Each of the other times it happened were in last year’s pod quarterfinals, three were in one pod and two were shutouts.

Milton Portmann was born in Jackson. He played pro football before the NFL was formed and was a decorated World War I hero.

Milton Portmann was born Oct. 20, 1888, in Jackson.

He was the second born of three sons of Dr. William C. Portmann and Emma Ball. His father emigrated to the United States as a 10-year-old from Herbetswil, Switzerland with his parents in 1869.

Portmann was captain of the Western Reserve (now Case Western Reserve) football team. He played professional football in the Ohio League for several teams from 1911-1916, the Shelby Blues, Akron Indians, Massillon Tigers and Cleveland Indians.

In 1917, Portmann enlisted in the United States Army. He earned the rank of Major and received a Silver Star and Purple Heart.

Hitting the snooze button means pressing the button on an alarm clock or device that temporarily silences the alarm, allowing a brief reprieve from waking up. The length of time the alarm is silenced varies depending on the device, but it's typically a few minutes, like 5, 9, or 10 minutes.

Take on Me is a song by the Norwegian synth-pop band a-ha. The original version was recorded and released in 1984. The second version in 1985 was bolstered by the wide exposure on MTV of director Steve Barron's innovative music video featuring the band in a live-action pencil-sketch animation sequence.

Canadian bacon is the term commonly used in the United States for a form of back bacon that is cured, smoked and fully cooked, trimmed into cylindrical medallions, and sliced thick. The name was created when this product was first imported from Toronto to New York City. The term "Canadian bacon" is not used in Canada, where the product is generally known simply as "back bacon."

Extra VHS Label are the extra labels that came with blank VHS tapes that no one ever used. There’s a decent chance that there still a couple somewhere in your house, at the bottom of a drawer, in a box of stuff that you’ve meant to look through for 30 years, or in a corner of the basement.

(2) Sus (7) 2005 PT Cruiser

Sus is used as a synonym of suspicious, or suspect, as in “you’ve been acting pretty sus, I think you’re up to something.” It’s a slang word used to say that someone or something shouldn’t be trusted. While many who’ve only recently adopted the word believe it to be new and to have come out of the game “Among Us,” sus is in fact much older than that 2018 game: there is evidence of it in use from as early as the 1920s.

The PT Cruiser is a compact car that was built by Chrysler from 2001-2010. Intended to invoke 1930s aesthetics, the interior packaging was noted for its high roof, high h-point seating, and flexible cargo and passenger configurations enabled by a multi-level rear cargo shelf and rear seats a user could fold, tumble, or remove. PT stands for "Personal Transport" or "Personal Transportation".

Chappell Roan, the stage name of Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, is a Grammy-nominated American singer and songwriter known for her upbeat, femme-positive pop music. Her songs often include personal lyrics about relationships. Her hit songs include “Pink Pony Club,” and “Hot To Go!” and “Good Luck, Babe!”

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) is a mainline Protestant church headquartered in Chicago. The ELCA was officially formed in 1988, by the merging of three Lutheran church bodies.
