TRACY – The Martin County wrestling team piled up 164 points in winning three times Friday at the Plum Creek Duals at Tracy Veteran's Memorial Center.
The Class 2A ninth-ranked Red Bulls defeated Adrian 55-21, Tracy-Milroy-Balaton/Westbrook-Walnut Grove 47-34 and Bertha-Hewitt-Verdale/Parkers Prairie 62-15.
Against the Dragons, winners by fall for Martin County were Berent Kosbab, Taylor Austin, Wyatt Williamson and Max Olson. Picking up forfeits were Jesse Potts, Carver Rohman and Gage Cyphers.
Winning by technical falls were Cooper Steuber and Kain Sanders. Joseph Forsberg won a decision.
Seven Red Bulls won by pin vs. the host Panthers, Maddex Faber, Potts, Sanders, Welcome, Cyphers, Williamson and Olson. Rohman won by technical fal.
Martin County had five pins in the BHVPP match, Faber, Kosbab, Potts, Rohman and Alec Thompson. Winning by forfeit were Sanders, Welcome and Riley Allen.
The Red Bulls are 11-0 in duals with six more matches scheduled next week.
On Tuesday Martin County wrestles in a quadrangular in Waseca with the host Blue Jays, Mankato East and Westfield.
Next Saturday the Red Bulls host three Section 3AA rivals in a quad in Fairmont with Windom/Mountain Lake, MAHACA and Hutchinson/Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart all coming in.
