Jackson County Central was second in the boys team standings and fourth in the boys at the Redwood Valley Invitational track and field meet Tuesday at Inglis Field in Redwood Falls.
The host Cardinals won both team titles.
Redwood won the boys meet with 140.5 points, with the Huskies second in the 10-team field with 117.
Only nine points separated first and fourth place in the girls meet. Redwood Valley was first with 122 points, followed by MACCRAY/Renville County West (119), Canby/Minneota (114.5) and JCC (113).
Ben Dahlin won the boys 200 meters (22.58) and anchored the Huskies’ winning 4x100-meter relay team (44.67). Clay Malchow, Aiven Farmer and Gage Johnson ran the first three legs.
Jackson County Central’s girls had four first-place finishes.
Rylie Cother won two events, the 100-meter hurdles (16.39) and high jump (5-0). Tiana Uilk won shot put (33-1.5) and Romi Rosenbrook was first in pole vault (8-6).
The Huskies are scheduled to compete in a meet in Worthington on Thursday.
