All of Hadley’s scoring came on two swings of the bat as the Buttermakers defeated Jackson 5-1 in amateur baseball Sunday evening at Laurie Mahon Field in Hadley.
Each team had six hits. Hadley’s scoring came on a three-run double by Danny Blankenship in the first inning and a two-run homer by Lincoln Graven in the fourth.
Lucas Gardner homered to lead off the seventh inning for the lone run of the game for the Bulls. He also singled in the second inning.
Easton Bahr also had two hits including a double. Alex Bretzman and Andy Wolf had the other Jackson hits.
Ryan Rasche pitched six innings and took the loss. Trace Michelson and Will Larson each pitched an inning.
Tucker Sorenson went the distance for the Buttermakers, striking out 12 and walking two.
The Bulls are off until playing two games on Sunday with a 2 p.m. game at Windom and a 5 p.m. home contest vs. Worthington.
