A nine-run fifth inning propelled Lakefield to a 13-5 amateur baseball win at Ruthton Sunday.
Each team scored a run in the second, with Lakefield scoring one in the top of the third for a 2-1 lead. The Royals would score four in the home half of the third to lead 5-2.
The Frogs would get one back in the fourth and then sent 14 batters to the plate in the fifth. Lakefield added one more run in the seventh inning.
Dustin Pronk would pitch the first four innings and be credited with the win. He also scored two runs.
Dalton Henning pitched three innings, with Bryce Christopher and Keegan Klontz each pitching one.
The Frogs will be on the road again Wednesday, traveling to Fairmont.
