ROCHESTER – Windom Area scored two third period goals to defeated Rochester Lourdes 3-1 in nonconference boys hockey Saturday at Graham Arena.
Lourdes scored on power play in the first period, with Windom Area scoring a power play goal in the second. Both goals in the final frame were even strength.
Wyatt Haugen had a three-point game for Windom with two goals and one assist.
Brady Espenson had a goal and an assist, Sonny Heil two assists and Cragen Porath one assist.
Dan Stubbe made 35 saves for Windom Area, which had 27 shots on goal.
Zach Bartosh, a 2014 Windom graduate, is an assistant coach with Rochester Lourdes.
Windom Area, now 7-8-1, is at Fairmont (4-7) for a 7 p.m. game Tuesday. Lourdes is 10-5.
