Jackson County Central batters collected 14 hits, and three pitchers struck out 15 as the Huskies were 11-2 winners in Big South Conference baseball Tuesday at Veterans Memorial Field in Blue Earth.
JCC is 2-6 overall, 2-5 in the Small School Division of the BSC, while the Buccaneers are 1-10 and 0-7.
Five players had multiple-hit games for Jackson County Central.
Carson Kolander had three hits including two doubles, had three runs batted in and scored two runs.
Ben Gallagher and Gage Johnson each had two hits including a double and each walked once, Thomas Liepold had two hits including a double and two RBI, and Ryan Fricke also had two hits.
Kash Gilbert had a hit and two RBI, Talan Holm had an RBI double and Haiden Warmka also had a hit.
Johnson was the winning pitcher as he went the first four innings, allowing one run on three hits, walking two and striking out 10.
Carson Doescher didn’t allow a hit or run in his two innings on the bump, walking one and fanning three, and Gilbert gave up one hit and one run in the seventh while striking out two.
Jackson County Central has shuffled its schedule at the end of the week.
The Huskies will play two at Wacker Field on Thursday, facing St. James Area at 3:45 p.m. and Pipestone at 6 p.m. On Friday, JCC has a 5 p.m. game at St. James.
