Jackson County Central won its third straight Section 3A wrestling title Saturday in Lamberton to highlight a busy day.
The Huskies defeated Adrian Area 67-6 in the championship match. Earlier, JCC had shut out Fulda/Murray County Central 76-0.
Jackson County Central will wrestle in the state team tournament on Thursday, March 2 at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

4A: Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted
5A: Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa
6A: West Central Area/Ashby/Brandon-Evansville
7A: Royalton/Upsala
8A: United North Central
In the Section 3AA wrestling tournament in Worthington, Martin County was edged 34-32 by United (Dawson-Boyd/Lac qui Parle Valley in a semifinal match. United would go on to win the title with a 37-22 win over Marshall.

At Pipestone Saturday, JCC placed fourth at the Section 3A meet with a team score of 131.875. Worthington was first with 143.935. The Huskies were not able to qualify any individuals for the state meet.
Also Saturday, the Jackson County Central girls basketball team closed its regular-season schedule with a 77-40 win over Tri-City United at Big South Conference Showcase in Windom.
