Jackson County Central had its baseball season end in the first round of the Section 3AA baseball tournament as the sixth-seeded Huskies lost 4-0 to third-seeded St. James Area at Veteran’s Field in St. James.
JCC ends its season with a record of 6-14.
Gage Johnson had a double for the Huskies, who had three hits. Also getting hits were Carson Doescher and Carson Kolander.
Talan Holm went the distance on the mound for Jackson County Central, allowing four runs on six hits, walking two and striking out five.
St. James Area will play at second-seeded Luverne Thursday. Also in the South part of the bracket Thursday, fourth-seeded Windom is at top-seeded Fairmont.
In the North, fourth-seeded New London-Spicer plays at top-seeded Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta and third-seeded Minnewaska Area is at second-seeded Montevideo.
