For the first time since 2016, Huset’s Speedway will have a full season of racing starting Sunday. A total of 24 nights of racing are scheduled at the Brandon, S.D. track, culminating with a three-day Cheater's Day event Sept. 24-26.
On the program Sunday will be Casey’s 410 Sprint Cars, late model street stocks and the Wyffels Hybrids RaceSaver Sprint Car Series.
Tod Quiring, who also owns Jackson Motorplex, purchased Huset's last year and three events were held to wrap up the season.
“We were able to produce a successful return to racing for Huset’s Speedway last year and we are looking forward to an enjoyable 2021 season for the fans, teams and sponsors,” general manager Doug Johnson said in a release by Inside Line Promotions. “Our team has put in a lot of long hours to prepare for this season so we’re excited to finally get it underway this weekend.”
Sunday's event will be the first of 18 nights of 410 winged sprint cars at Huset’s. Late model street stocks and the Wyffels Hybrids RaceSaver Sprint Car Series will also both be on the racing program during a majority of the season.
Racing is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
The first event of the season at Jackson is the Bull Haulers Brawl next Friday.
