The Jackson County Central wrestling team competed twice in three days to get its season started.
The Huskies were third in a strong 10-team tournament in Glencoe on Saturday after winning a pair of duals at home Thursday.
At the Don Hall Invitational Saturday, Class 1A No. 8 JCC was third in the team standings with 156 points. Class 2A No. 4 Watertown-Mayer/Mayer Lutheran was first with 190 points and 2A RV New Ulm had 162.
The Huskies had a pair of second-place finishers, Kayden Eller (121) and Kyler Thier (127). Placing third were Isaac Rodriguez (133) and Dallas Gossen (139).

JCC won two duals on Thursday, topping Section 3A rival Pipestone 44-20 and Blue Earth Area 75-0.
Going 2-0 on the night for the Huskies were Isaac Rodriguez, Dallas Gossen, Cael Enriken, Carson Kolander, Ryan Haley, Jack Mix and Michael Hansen. Winning their lone match of the night were Geovany Munoz Mazarieuos, Ryan Fricke, Braden Tufvesson and Ben Dahlin.
Going 1-1 were Payten Sorbel, Mathias Leopold, Kayden Eller and Kyler Thier.
Next week
The Huskies will wrestle at the end of next week as well.
On Thursday, JCC goes to Fairmont for a triangular with host Martin County and New Ulm and then the Huskies host the Pizza Ranch Invitational on Saturday.
