Jackson County Central offensive tackle Weston Rowe has received another offer from an Ivy League school.
Cornell University, located in Ithaca, N.Y., is the latest to make an offer to the 6-foot-7, 270-pound junior.
It’s his third FCS offer. He has also received offers from Dartmouth and South Dakota.
A pair of Football Bowl Subdivision schools have also offered Rowe, the United States Air Force Academy and the United States Military Academy (Army West Point). He also was offered by traditional NCAA Division II power Minnesota State University.
Rowe is the 18th-ranked player in the state for the Class of 2026. He is listed as the No. 2 uncommitted offensive lineman in that class by prepredzone.com.
Cornell is a member of the Ivy League. Dan Swanstrom has been the head coach for two seasons.
The Big Red were 4-6 overall in 2024, 3-4 in conference play.
Ivy League schools have not been allowed to compete in the 24-team FCS playoffs in the past, but league’s presidents announced in November that will allow the league’s teams to compete starting with the 2025 season.
Cornell has been playing football since 1887, claiming national championships in 1915, 1921, 1922, 1923, and 1939.
