Brandon Williamson made the second start of his rehab assignment for the Cincinnati Reds as he took the mound for the Triple-A Louisville Bats in Louisville on Sunday.
The Martin County West graduate pitched 3.2 innings vs. the Columbus Clippers, an affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The left-hander allowed one run on five hits, walked one and struck out four. He was on a limit of four innings or 60 pitches and threw 56 pitches, 34 for strikes.
Williamson had pitched for the High-A Dayton Dragons against the Great Lakes Loons, a Los Angeles Dodgers affiliate.
He's expected to make another start for Louisville this week at home vs. the Toledo Mud Hens, an affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. Those teams play a six-game series Tuesday-Sunday.
