Huskies to host pair of matches Thursday
Top-seeded and four-time defending champion Jackson County Central opens the Section 3A team wrestling tournament by hosting a pair of matches Thursday.
The first match of the evening at 6 p.m. has eighth-seeded St. James Area/Madelia, 12-12, facing ninth-seeded Red Rock Central (3-15). The winner of that match will take on the Huskies (13-2) following a short break.
Class 1A fifth-ranked JCC did not face either the Saints or Falcons in a dual during the regular season.
Other sites for Thursday are Pipestone, Adrian and Slayton.
The four remaining teams after the first night will meet at Murray County Central High School in Slayton for the semifinals and finals on Saturday.
