The script for Game 2 of Jackson’s amateur baseball league playoff series with Pipestone was pretty similar to that of Game 1.
In Game 1, the Bulls had a 4-1 lead after two innings and there would be no more scoring the rest of the way.
In Game 2, Jackson had a 3-1 lead after one inning and there would be no more scoring the rest of the way.
The Bulls won the best-of-three series in two straight games and await the start of the Regjon 13C Playoffs Wednesday. Pairings will be determined on Monday.
After the start of the game was delayed about 30 minutes by rain that moved through the area, Jackson scored three runs in the top of the first.
Chris Gumto’s two-run single scored Easton Bahr and Andy Wolf and Lucas Gardner’s RBI groundout brought in Evan Olesen.
Pipestone put one run on the board in the home half of the first and then there would be no more scoring.
Ryan Rasche went the distance on the mound for the Bulls. He struck out 16, allowed six hits, walked two and hit one batter.
Wolf had three hits including a double and walked once. Carter Snyder had two hits.
